Haha... seems i've accomplished much during these days... to the extent of me not touching even on the system notes... but sadly i've not been bridging so far... my dear p got other commitments as well :-)
Anyway yesterday was quite a fun day... had a good heart-to-heart talk with my boss... talked abt strengths and weaknesses... of coz in the end he always left me so flattered... haha... but seriously really nice to meet him... and now the challenges of having a new boss awaits... a change in working style and dynamism? or a even more compact working relationship? haha... only time will tell...
And such an interesting day! First time that i would call and agree to go down to some place to listen to some 'irresistable' offer and even try to promote it... but sorry can't help u much la mei4... hehe... though i got lotsa moral support to give! Anyway bought 2 vcds for $10... always swopping for such vcd deals... oh... and must buy ni guang later!!!
But I really appreciate this long break... coz i gotta communicate with my parents, esp my mum more... haha... so seldom have a real chance to talk to them coz once i book out then it is like bridge, bbo, tuition or recalls that mark my weekend... It is even rarer that i haven't touched cards (albeit online ones) for sooooooo long... (1 week would be considered long enough for 'addicts' like me haha!)
Was reading thru some remnants of my past... realised that i could have done something to prevent disasters from happening... but i suppose it is thru such experiences where we learn ba? haix...
And just 7.5 months to ORD! Back to the comfort zone of my books...

10:53 AM: Practicality and interest
It is actually quite disheartening to see ppl choose courses which they dun prefer just for the sake of having a good career prospect...
At first thought, I would have thought interest would always come first... no interest and just study a course u don't like will only result in u not doing well in your course, whole day lamenting your circumstances and worse still, choosing a career that most likely u won't like... I've always believed that hang2 hang2 chu1 zhuang4 yuan2... u can be anything u like... as long as u excel in your field, then the money factor shouldn't count as much...
But thinking further, i suppose the question is whether foresaking the interest is worth it or not... It is hard to say for ppl who tend to have san fen zhong ren du... in the sense, the interest shifts and they can be equally adaptable in any field they do... and back to me, i could have said as forsaking my interest in geog when i've gone to 7B and take up triple science with the remnants of my interest in geog soc... and that's when my secondary interest, which is chemistry, flourishes...
Indeed, future is such an unpredictable entity... ppl in primary sch will think i take up a maths career... ppl in secondary sch will think i'll end up as an urban planner (oh... in fact daniel leong is pursuing this dream)... but now i'm on way to chemistry/chem engine... haha... Just gotta make sure what u take up is something u have at least that bit of interest in lohz...
Been rather busy these days though i'm on off... gotta go back again to help vet thru stuff... but i relish these opportunities given by my boss to exercise my leadership skills among many other skills i gotta use... hehe :-)

Yoohoo! Today marks the middle of a long off period! Things i wanna blog:
1. Leadership and team communicationDecided to blog this point when I've finished a book I'm reading rite now...
2. Bridge sessionsLast week could be said a disappointing outing for both my pair and my team... Played three MP occasions and din do up to expectations... Guess bidding wise may be a little too ill-disciplined and for my play wise, din dare to take risks which could have made contracts and for defence, sometimes the vital signals are missing... Gotta do some reflection on this....
I dunno how come... this week it is my p who is not available for all the games... haha... thot could have played today but his mei4 also pangseh me at the very end... haha... study more impt at this stage la :-) Even for friday game, my p has to hmm... haix... now gotta find another p for friday's game... definitely dun wanna miss it...
And again I shall say a disappointing game against dragon... Played the first two rounds and lost by 6 and 7 imps respectively... first game, i think we have done well in finding the club slam, but went down coz of some part scores and a slam try which failed on jackie's side... then second game, two well-defended and played boards were undone by my aggro-ness in the first part... mr wong was right... it is a lot to ask for by needing "just a doubleton or less" for p's dime... and our misdefence in the second...
Then we thot there is some hope against dragon as their strong pair left and the "fortune teller" (who finds me always a hard nut to crack) subbed in... sadly speaking, gotta leave the game and found themselves thrashed by like 70-odd imps combined.... also dunno why la... i guess bridge discipline has gotta be strong in this case...
3. Crashing lectsLects crashing seems so fun... got the element of like placed in the territory that does not belong to u... anyway crashed two lects so far... one is extraction chemistry in nus and the other is biology and media in ntu... gotta say the former makes me feel so 'into' analytical chem... coz i dunno what soxhlet extraction and supercritical fluid extraction are all abt before the lect... and then decided to glance thru the txtbooks after which... and they are so interesting! haha... as for the latter, nice lect! dunno bio can be so fun with the sort of teaching... coz we get to watch movies and analyse the content inside! haha... i'm sure if jc bio teaches that way, maybe i can score higher le!
4. TuitionIntensive tuition period... but i'm always to be glad on the call coz it simply means my tutee is serious in improving his grades.... and i won't mind going the extra mile to help... hope u'll do well for the CAs!
5. Partyworld k-ing with fabian, kelvin and yonghao
6. AYSF outing!
A lot to blog for these two... shall see got time then update them ba! haha...

Huangcheng yeyun rox!
Today we watched as naogui... and other than ziyan who had med tests tml to wed and yibing who is now at london, all were here! jian an, mao, hailing, li de, jaime, emmeline, me + the two other dao yans!!! esp glad to see them since we've not contacted each other for SOOO long already... good time spent catching up with them and talking abt the good old times... lots of memory flow back xia... and i've just bought our year vcd with mao... hehe... can finally watch le...
the jus are rather ok this time... but gotta say the bus stop story is a bit too draggy and some parts are really redundant... though i would say i like the meaning behind the ju + the crazy girl's performance which is very fang4... bus stop is like a transition point where ppl will be at in their bid to the destination they want... and diff ppl have diff places to go to... a bit of gao xing jian's storyline here and there (with ref to our lep pro jaime)... ju4 li2 shi4 mei3, bu4 guo4 ke3 bu3 yao4 rang4 da4 yu3 gei3 chong1 zou3...
then for the second story, i guessed most would agree that the female lead was very outstanding in her du2 pai2... quite impressed by it... and the flow is better than the first ju4 which consists of too many shallow sub-plots... as for the third, quite love the idea of the story... though it follows a bit like the recent fan jian xin xian ren show... the acting is nice, the plot is lame yet cohesive (i think our characteristic laughters irritated other neighbouring rows), but the ending twist might just a bit too disappointing...
and at the end, we all stood up and cheered like crazy... at least this time so spontaneous... and thus,
wo men ming nian huang cheng ye yun zai jian!!!

Wooh... finally came home!
Actually 7 days straight in camp should be no kick... but the original plan of coming out this monday + no proper sleep for 6 days' sleep straight has made me yearn for the rest... but gotta go back to continue my stuff tml afternoon... and to my team too: shall hang on manz!

reality is harsh la... sometimes no matter how hard u tried, success is always so un-reachable... and yet ppl are fighting against it, hoping they could change the entire outlook...
but it is never that simple...
at least i believe it happens in some instances...

anyway to the happy juniors out there who have achieved their desired results, congrats! While to those who got :( results, cheer up k! Hope to talk to some of u soon!
And so long haven't meet all of my friends le... miss ya! oh yarh! huangcheng coming!!! can't wait to watch it with naogui... yayness
