Thursday, August 30, 2007 @ 10:52 AM: 2.5 months to ORD!
Shall post a quick entry here before I book in back into camp:

1. It is just 2.5 months left to ORD! And in all the events that lead up to ORD, only have combat shoot to worry about! Yayness... no more suggestions/projects, no more results monitoring and of course no more "ONG!" around... haha... but actually to find myself missing all the friends made during this while... It is really great to have you guys around that make the days so much better and tolerable!

2. While last month has been practically a workaholic month, for I have to stay up to 3am each day to rush out the suggestions, results and audit items, this month is almost a heaven to me! Think I have finally some breather and time to study my options and prepare for all the future challenges ahead.

3. I think I have passed the peak for the addiction curve to CM06/07... coz there's not much kick in playing the game when u win 37 games and lose 1 in the Premier League...All your players occupy the top 20 slots in the Players rating column and I practically got manager of the month every month... Anyway, my team line-up is not for u to "wow" but it is effective enough in the game.

Playing a 4-2-4 team formation:
GK: Victor Valdes (Sub: David Marshall/Julio Cesar)
DC: Gabriel Paletta
DC: Vincent Kompany
RB: Steven Taylor
LB: Marcell Jansen (Def Subs: Micah Richards, Anton Ferdinand, Gregory Morestin)
MC: Javier Mascherano
MC: John Mikel Obi (MC Subs: Fran Merida, Yoann Gourcuff, Luis Valencia)
WGR: Joaquin
WGL: Franck Ribery
FC: Alberto Gilardino
SC: Craig Lindfeld (Striker Subs: Obafemi Martins, Joar Rike, Ryan Rabel)

Sold a lot of players coz I could not fit so many players, incl Manuel Fernandes (doing well at Chelsea), Anderson (doing well at Arsenal) and Nani (name is gone in the game i suppose?)

4. And how much I'm lagging in my studies? A LOT... and even geog too! sianz...
thank you for bringing me memories...

Convo No. 1:

Zehan and I were playing against the pair from D'Rakes at the Swiss Consols on saturday and here is an exercpt of our conversation:

The bidding went 1D by my LHO, doubled by zehan and without hesitation, I bid 1H. Zehan raised my bid to 2H.

Now it is my turn to bid and a confident 4H came from my pencil. A weird look from zehan came and I knew instantly what he was thinking...

As the RHO makes his opening lead, I confirmed with him, "your double and support shows 16-18 with at least 4 hearts right..."

His face remains stunned and he says, "I've got good reasons to justify my actions" as he shows his cards: 14 pts and a good 4-card heart suit.

I remained unperturbed and told him, "My bid shows a max of 8 pts leh, never mind I shall make this contract" and there it went 4H + 1.

And the fact is that I have misbid first with 12 pts where I could have bid on opps' suit and zehan should have passed my 1H bid. What a nice partnership understanding coz his bid has saved my blushes!

We went to clinch the match at 25-0 and that was the critical first board for us which started the momentum.

Convo No. 2:

Person X and Person Y (one of them is me) were talking at the sofa in the office one day...

To share with u some background of the story, it is basically abt the bee X and the not-so-hardworking worker, who is the Y. It always seems that the working hours together each day makes up 24. X is contributing the 20+ and Y, the single digit.

Y: Now life is so shagged... I'm so fed up that day when I went to the office and saw almost everyone playing the PSP (btw Y plays PSP almost everytime he is resting and has even made a reputation of helping others whenever PSP problems arise; while X has to cover all the work Y leaves behind)... Life is so unfair. Do you think so? And my working schedule isn't easy after all (Y has the best schedule in the entire world though)

X: (After a long pause, then finally a faint smile) Now you know how unfair life is, right? (How X wishes to say all the grumbles he suppressed in himself whenever he sees Y up in the bunk playing/sleeping while X slogs)

Moral of the story: Always put yourself in others' shoes (esp the one whom u are having a convo with) before expressing your point of views. If u have done that, then try do not be a b***ard.
