Saturday, September 29, 2007 @ 10:57 AM: My birthday
Woohoo... It had been eventful from Wenesday to Friday! Yayness! But i think at the same time, I've been neglecting my SAT 2 and linear regression... Haha... Today shall mark the start of the 1-week period I'm setting aside for my SAT 2!

Anyway, upon some reflection, I felt that Taiwan trip has made me realise the importance of the people around us... and the need to really treasure those around us... And precisely this point that I'm very glad that in the short span of these days, I've been able to meet up with many of the people I wanna meet... It is really great to have your bday spent with your best buddies as though it is like a normal day, crapping around, and how i realise family and friendships and other relationships form such a critical component in our lives... And of course, I can't wait to go eat buffet lunch with my family later, followed by ssg outing today (as usual to see how stressed simin is... she always proclaims to be so but doesn't appear to be)! Yups...

Kk... shall thank the following peeps who've wished me in one way or the other (not in any order):- alvin, ps, man, chee keen, benjy, stephen, aik thong, kaiyang, eugene, TQ, jun wei, micheal, irving, orry, ian, aik kang, li ou, wang jian, cf, audrey, irene, guanlin, vanessa, simin, xuetying, zehan, jack, chieh hwee, yiwen, zhibang, lcy, nicholas, joanna, shiling (hopefully i've not missed out anyone, but i've a feeling i do haha... so if i do, tell me k?)

and yups... how can i forget about huilan who called from australia yday? haha... be less stressed k... and see u in november when we'll go to k! I wanna hear your compositions one day too!

and how can i forget this? I love the card u've sent, Qi Qin! Hopefully I'll get there mans!
thank you for bringing me memories...
Thursday, September 27, 2007 @ 7:43 AM: Some random thoughts about songs
Had a bashing Wednesday and just set up a blog @ http://keepstillthere.blogspot.com. Do check out the blog for some lame postings (in the future, at least when my lame editors come in)... Haha... But anyway shall blog a little before I go back to sleep again... The weather's so cool now... how little it rains these days...

Anyway yesterday was telling cf about having control in a song... though it eventually boils down to one's steady voice... but I think in a certain sense, it's gotta to do with u having the confidence and knowing the inside-out of the song before u can express the feelings and the dynamics within a song.

Some songs that we've been singing for so long like bei feng chui guo de xia tian or shan hu hai sounds pretty unpalatable to me, with the sad fact that the more we sang, the better we sound in our solo parts or the better we can reach the higher keys but the chorus might sound pretty the same we sang it the first time. But still, we can't get the dynamics rite... Yet on the other hand, for some songs like di yi tian and xi jie, I could control the song instantly without fretting over the keys I have to sing are right or wrong even it is the first or second time I'm singing (though some areas in breathing techniques are wrong, but hey it's the first try -> forgiveable)...

In a way, knowing a song is like knowing a person. For some people whom I thought were quite close or had been close for at least quite a period of time, I dunno the dynamics of them well... Pretty much stagnation. For some, I could say we clicked instantly. And to say how many buddies or good friends whom I really know inside out, perhaps I can only count all using my fingers... but still I believe I can eventually master those parts of the songs tat I'm particularly weak at, just like how I believe that friendships can only get better...

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 @ 12:28 AM: Recent updates
1. Bridge updates!

Haix... a super disappointing week in bridge... Created the lowest record score with zehan on monday (170907), where 50% is due to our negligence for good and sound play while the other 50% is that our luck is totally off. Then on Saturday against SICC(Red), which is a super important crunch tie, we were only able to win by 16-14, meaning that we would have to go all out for the last match against NUSS (Blue). It was a sad fact that we have struggled to collect the 16VPs where every one of them is so crucial in this stage. And I believe the deciding board was on the last board, a total fluke on our part, where the opps bid to a fine contract of 5C that could have been made if not for some psychic and tricky defense by me and jack. Thus, fortunately in a sense, we are still leading as we proceed into the final round given some bad play and bidding on our part.

2. MAF!!!

MAF at HC was super high and nice... And I think this is the first time for sooooo long I was part of the mass dances, apparantly my class peeps all took part in it this year... haha... it was really a nice feeling to walk about the campus to say hi and know more about those whom u sorta lost contact with de... and yups... surely i'm gonna miss it... all the hc spirit and enthusiasm!

gotta sleep liaos! looking forward to this entire week of block leave (except the dental ffi in the middle though :-()
thank you for bringing me memories...

Wednesday, September 12, 2007 @ 11:54 AM: Locked my CM
Ok... just to update my blog a while before the cob webs get so big again...

1. I've locked my CM 2007... not because i've found it too sian or wat... but it is due to something i've downloaded then it cannot work anymore :-(... though i thot it is a blessing in disguise coz now I can put more things in perspective and really concentrate on my priorties... but as what jackie said, there's no other time when we can slack like nobody's business... everything's gonna be hectic once the day comes...

2. which is... ORD date!!! Woohoo! Less than 2 months left to the sacred date... and anyway, i've glad the ways things have happened... at least my 2 years aren't really wasted in a sense...

3. recently read yet another book on leadership... shall actively work on my shortcomings and be glad that i've some of the good traits that i dun even concur on... haha... in fact, i thot the 21 ways on good leadership is more like 21 ways to lead a fulfilling life... good book that everyone should read!

4. last sat beat rosso 24-6 albeit making some stupid mistakes... though uncle wong just pointed out that one was more due to my mistake... thus wasn't very happy though we've won big... but i believe and have always told others that be glad that the mistakes occur at this time, and not at some impt periods where the mistake can be escalated to greater misfortunes...

5. MAF is coming!!! Getting excited as the day draws nearer... Perhaps this MAF will hold special meaning in me coz it may be the last one i'm attending for up to when i'm 30 years old? haha... MAF always hold a unique position in every HC student!

6. Nice to meet naogui and other huangcheng actors these days... from the minds' cafe naogui outing (which i love sooo much becoz of our sponteniety and we finally get to see yibing who has flown off recently + everyone else coz we met up so little) to the tian tian steamboat (which i think more of ripping off ppl's money... the liao4 they give isn't really impressive and cannot compare to some of the marina's restaurants + their tang1 tou2 won't leave ppl missing the place) to the clarke quay walk and the milo story to finally lide's house gathering (which we have to thank lide for all the effort he has put in)... haha... i wonder what's the next time we meet since uni has started and pressure is piling up on them...

7. Let's go k one day manz... Chieh hwee has made me want to k so much liao... haha...
thank you for bringing me memories...
