Wow okie...
Finally 1.5 weeks of studies over, and 6.5 weeks more before the first break starts.
Yesh... realised my blog is not really updated these days! Haha... Ok... shall start updating from my birthday celebrations... This time it is really special cos i have not been celebrating these years (as in self-initiate)... actually this year would have just wanted a simple affair, but yups my aunt offered to help me celebrate in a chalet and everything last minute came into place...
26th Sept
First night was with the eco pple, and it is really great to see 4 different generations of VMD heads come and gather! Haha... a good day to hand over the baton to Ying Zhen whom I believe could bring the team to greater heights... with her, paulin, and the "threesome" - haha dunno why they are called that way but I would single them out... Peirong, Jialing and Huihong, and hopefully everything in the department can slowly fall into place. And of course it is a great time to catch up with guys like Minghui, Zhihao (very funnily their chinese names are exactly the same as mingfai and alvin, which i only realised like now!), Janelle, Sheena and Yihan who had worked alongside me for the first half of the year... btw i still haven't yet to meet cheryl in person just so weird... and din manage to see kephren, one who certainly inspired my journey in eco... Oh yes! Thank you guys for all your comments on the card and I certainly love the pullover (I'm wearing it these days!) + scarf (which i would terribly need when temp is getting colder)... and yups thanks to the threesome for ur very nice wallet... somehow u all got me something that's so desperately needed by me haha!
Secondly, my RE-live committee!!! Haha sadly Jo + Fio are in Switz and Germany liao... but despite it being so close to their hectic exam week, they came!! Yups, but of course, we celebrated in conjunction Sihui's birthday as well... haha... will always remember her birthday since she is one day and one year smaller than me! (it is esp easy to remember when birthdays are +-1 of mine)... And thanks for ur heartwarming words on the autograph book guys! I hope that through the RE-live planning process, we have learnt much more from each other, just like how I have learnt from you guys as well! And these times, though one of the more fiery moments in ECO, are also the moments that I would remember fighting alongside with you guys despite all the odds and problems we face! Yups and thanks for the choc calc, though cambridge doesn't allow and I have to buy a calculator with a "CU" sticker on it... hahah...
Haha... of course, other ppl who have played a big part in my ECO journey like Zhikai, Christine and Jack came as well... and i must mention Zhikai who has been integral in the NDP operations for being quite a motivating force for me in ECO as well... while at the same time, thank you wilson, ryal and many others who couldn't make it but certainly in one way or another had given me valuable lessons and advice in ECO!
27th Sept
And after the gathering with ECO ppl, ben wong, zhang wei and serene came to my chalet to play board games! and we got to try out the game biopolis (with the different A* scholars to auction for in a saint pete's setting) and road to throne that I've made! of course, we would get to play the usual games of saboteur and etc... I realised I'm really missing it... one day must go london and play with the lads!!! This is followed by going to the airport in the morning to send off Yang Le and Cai Na at the airport, but it was quite a different feeling from other send offs in which I was trying to imagine the day I'm flying off...
Then came karaoke with Joanna and Changfang! yups got to belt out some duets and experimented with quite a lot of songs... particularly remember the part when we sing Chuang Wai and we both got so high (with the melody fitting in so nicely) that I started to sing some accompaniment until too loud (and yups so wrong and funny OH... OHing)... Sorta my last k-box outing at Singapore and thanks u guys for singing with me! Though right now i've been k-ing quite a bit from my laptop! Youtube does have quite a few karaoke tracks (minus one) and some of the vcds do help!!! So must sing when i'm back in Singapore, cos after all in room we can't sing too loud as well!
And then came the dinner and the bday celebration! Quite a lot of the 7B peeps turned up (though yichao pangseh as usual) and Dawn appeared! And it was quite embarassing that I thought it was drey on the phone when it was guan lin! haha... couldn't recognise phone voices well enough... and i think eugene was so funny when he talked to guan lin and she couldn't recognise him until quite late! Yeps... Thanks for the Chang beer (well, in UK we have a lot a lot of beer), the small little book, the pencil case, etc!
And yups... how could i forget about the Sengkang study grp! hmm... well thanks for the board and it is well displayed in my room! right in front of me somemore! and as for the cookbook... hmmm veri hard to get the ingredients and i'm now cooking very happily as well... so i shall read it up when i get bored with my current dishes ba! and really thank you guys, esp simin, ps and huilan for giving me such a wonderful time since JC and i really appreciate the close friendships that we enjoy! and of course shouheng!!! when am i going to see u ah!! i so miss u liao k? esp the nights when i watch man u matches at ur place hahaha!
Thanks to yong liang, samuel (for your parker pen!), zehan, perry and the bridge team (haha it was our last 'gathering' as GG in fact before we are pursuing our studies), army friends (oh yesh finally got to see wang jian after so long! and yups now i realise i miss a bit of clarence's crap... and thanks ken for ur photos!), sok ee + ben + ken for the bag that i'm carrying now (out of the three i got! this shows our chui my bag is, esp when the class gals gave me in J2 intending for the use in uni)... and last but not the least, my family which has always been such a great emotional support behind me!
And many thanks to the rest who have wished me thru sms, calls (like xuetying's call! haha i realised i haven't talked to ya for a long time and glad that u are coping well!), facebooks, etc!
Okie... getting real tired! Shall update more when I have the time (though to readers, it shld be a weekly feature most likely!) so stay tuned!
