Sunday, November 09, 2008 @ 5:19 PM: Pensive mood
It has been a roller coaster week, with something turning out for everyday...
I guess it had really hit me hard from the start, but slowly I'm realising that I didn't lose out on anything and gained a lot more from here, and in retrospective, it could have been the best timing it was set out on. Similarly, in another case which had been bothering me and a friend quite a lot, I realised the importance of drawing lines between boundaries, which I would hate to do so but necessary.
Had some really good talks with several peeps in cambridge, like my 'mum' kim, shaoming, cai na, shengrong, etc... and okie.... To quote from Cai Na, "one of my friends asked me why the Singaporeans always sit together in cells lecture"... on first glance, I guess it gets very cliquish and unnecessary, after all we have applied to come here and in everyone's mind they would wish to experience the local culture and friends here... but sometimes I guess it gets the kind of warmth I do not feel most other times of the day cos most singaporeans will be in different places doing practs, supervisions, CCAs... and lecture times are good times where the Singaporeans can update about what happen in the typical "Singlish"... yups and glad to know more pple over here too!
And I am glad that dad has enjoyed his birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
thank you for bringing me memories...
