having watched the champions league semi finals, you would want to see the reactions of how chelsea and man utd players react after poor refereeing decisions...
granted these days people have been grunting abt the referees' decisions, and most of them cmi... but sometimes it is really essential that we view from the referees' angle... they are on the pitch and have no replays or a full screen bird eye's view for particular incidents (which i think would have done fletcher a justice)... and eric adibal's red card for barcelona was really unwarranted, though you got to understand where the referee was when giving the red card (and perhaps the assistant referee is thinking more of an offside situation at that point of time)...
it is hard being a referee in the first place, and having to maintain the balance of the game, the speed of the game and the fairness of it due to pple having a penchant to dive (i'm sure if u are a soccer fan u all know who are tops in diving)... and having to cope with all the pressures in supporters, players, the coaches... is not easy
anyway back to topic, this weekend further cements why i support man utd! though ronaldo is sometimes really far over the limit of arrogance, i thot he showed why he had the right to do so in the match, and park's energetic display with rooney's ever-willingness to play in any position had combined to give a real beautiful counter in the build up for the 3rd goal... but the technical aspects of the game aside, u have to see how fletcher and the team reacts when they have a decision against them, and how chelsea copes with the poor refereeing decisions (though i would say the pique handball would be the most dubious, the rest are just pretty 50-50 cases... and barca had to play with 10 men for an equally dubious decision, so it sorta cancels out)...
i guess u could take a look on youtube by searching "man utd fletcher red card" and "chelsea barcelona penalties" to get a full understanding of the reactions...
on other news, exams is less than a month away... and i've officially not been studying for the past 3 nights (match, meeting, bridge)!!! must jiayou now! and to fellow natscis, jiayou too! i'm pretty sure we'll get out of this trough soon enough having to cover new concepts (some are not easy btw) while revising at the same time!
looking forward to badminton tml :)
thank you for bringing me memories...
