Monday, March 29, 2010 @ 12:41 PM: Those days...
I suddenly remembered something!
28th March was Jing Chong's birthday... and I checked my autograph book that I had in primary school... My birthday memory is indeed intact...
Jing Chong was my best friend in primary school and together with Zhao Yang they always provided me with the reprieve I needed most in sch playing hopscotch and eating our sandwiches! And yups, I searched on facebook and I couldn't find his contact!!!
Anyway if he does ever come here, here's wishing him a belated happy birthday!
thank you for bringing me memories...

To understand my frustration with the bio notes,
here's the epic:-
"The first, the activatory G subunit, when phosphorylated by PKA, downstream from adrenaline, dissociates from PP1C, which becomes trapped by the inhibitory subunit, I-1 (which is similarly phosphorylated), so that the phosphorylated state of phosphorylase is maintained and glycogen is degraded, therefore"
1. Notice the number of commas in the sentence.
2. So is it the G subunit or PP1C that becomes trapped by I-1? (On 2nd thought it should be G subunit since it is phosphorylated)
3. And the connection between 7th and 8th comma is that PP1C cannot remove the phosphate on phosphorylase?
4. The ",therefore" is my last straw!
And the diagram is poorly drawn man... oh man...
thank you for bringing me memories...
Sunday, March 21, 2010 @ 6:35 AM: Recap on Lent term
I wonder my body clock is seriously screwed, being able to put in 3 hr sleep every night despite my futile efforts to force myself to sleep more, and feeling tired in the afternoon... Might need to enlist the help of coffee and tea soon!
Anyway a little update about lent term. A really hectic term indeed. Perhaps this hasn't come really surprising to me since a week 1 lunch with jackie made me realise from the outright that most of my weekends are gone, and i think they are worth my time indeed... From CUMSA's activities in the form of AFF, food prep, ball to all the crucial bridge ties against Oxford (a total of three times seeing them) to London musicals to gatherings and dinners like the CNY dinner, it has been a fun time pursuing my interests, meeting people and learning some cooking techniques at the same time as well!
And it is time to put more effort to my studies!!
thank you for bringing me memories...

Sometimes even when you try your best, the outcomes are against you...
